I love these. I think they are adorable.
It's a little tiny "Fairy Door". You put them in your house so the Faeries can come in.
I'd love one. I love the magical-ness of it...
But at the same time, it seems another way to let the demonic easy access to our homes. Their very own door?
What are your thoughts? Harmless charming fun? Or a gateway to trouble?
"Keep on, then, with your magic spells and with your many sorceries, which you have labored at since childhood. Perhaps you will succeed, perhaps you will cause terror. Isaiah 47:12
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." Revelation 21:8

There is no demonic power in wee little doors. I believe in God. I do not believe in fairies. I DO imagine fairies. If you believe (as I do) scripture, then one attribute of God is his amazing creativity and imagination... look to Genesis. Then also look to Genesis and see that man was made in God's image... I take to mean we share some of his attributes (in WAaaay lesser portions). Chaulk up the fairy doors to imagination.
Any innocuous item COULD be used for unseemly purposes, but it is not an attribute of the item itself.

Hey
I think they are lovely too!
and I bet god likes fairies and he will make sure that the demons keep away!
enjoy the magical things about life and let the fairies visit your house!
love Franziska
I would have to think about this one, too! My initial thoughts are that the influence of the fairy door will be what YOU make it! Much like the tooth fairy and Santa Claus.
Kids CAN distinguish truth from fairytales --as long as you TEACH the TRUTH!
I think the fairy door is lovely, harmless and presented to create a feeling of welcome to young and old.
I also stand strong in my faith and know that our Lord is the most powerful form of resistance against anything! If it had been labeled an angel door or a prayer door would that make you feel better? Would it really make a difference and if so, why? It is a label.
As a homeschooler, I have seen some pretty awful curriculums packaged and sold to gullible Christians just because they slip in some photos of Jesus and put a few scripture verses on the page...
No one questions the quality of the curriculum, or if it is feeding the minds of the student and preparing him or her for their future...the main concern is that it is "christian enough."
We invite negative spirits in...if we are not praying, fasting, being kind towards others...if we speak badly of others, or be angry towards those we care for, that does more harm that some homemade door labelled a fairy door.
My humble opinion to a thoughtful question.
hmmmm.. You have changed the image. The one shown NOW is NOT a fairy door that "You put ... in your house so the Faeries can come in."
That particular one is in a Café in Ann Arbor, MI. It was not put in be the Café owners. It was not paid for by them either.
In my opinion buy and selling of fairy doors takes the mystery (and some of the fun) out of them.
I am familiar with that one (door) and I am quite sure there is not a bit of evil in it. There is a bit of gummi bear stuck to the stoop, however!
